i am out sick at the moment, live in the country, don't drive, i am rely greatfull for sober folk, i love the new friends i have made, there is no other people in the world like aa friends, day or night they are there for you, i count my blessings ,

I have been drinking since i was 10 years old,, i have also done the drug scene. i still smoke pot sometimes but i dont feel like i have a problem with that,, cause most of the time i pass when offered it just occasional. i have been in detox and rehab 3 times when i lived in tennessee. and i did go to aa and na meetings there. and it helped but i lived in town. i live in florida now way out in the middle of nowhere ville and don't have a car to get to town or a meeting so i am stuck and that is why i started looking into online meetings. I live with my boyfreind. Blacking out is scary i ended up with bruises all over me last week and dont know how and dont remember how i got home.

and look up the meetings in your town they are everywhere,and don't be shy just try it it's free and you don't have to stay,try to lisen to the stories and meet some women,I can talk to you but a real live woman is much better,it's in the phone book or call a hotline and they can ell you where the local AA is

Well I can only share why I joined AA,because I could not stop drinking even when I wanted to and pprayed and tried and went to church .My faith is strong in God but alcohol took over my brain and my body so my faith did not have a chance to breathe anymore.It is a poison to me.Started out to be just relaxing because I suffer from anxiety and am lonely where I live ,but the alcohol took off like a racehorse in my system and I could not stop.I am an RN so I did not thunk I was an alcoholic for a long time.Only you can tell if you are one.try to stop and see....I kept breaking promises to myself and God finally I thought I should go to an AA meeting and I never left.They are the only true friends I've met since being in SC,because they KNOW how I feel and felt

I have been seeking a online community that might help me in the process of making up my mind and helping me to quit drinking. I am a good person but when i drink i am not. I have been blacking out much more frequently than i used too,,and have put myself in very dangerous and unpredictable situations,, that i can't even remember. a little scary. so i am new here and any insight would be helpful.
