It is amazing that when we really open up ourselves and ask what it is that theHigher Power wants us to do we get these insights like you said "I know God led me here but don't know how he wants to use me". I have had several of these things happen lately. One was that I knew I was supposed to be in some type of relationship with a person. Of course,me being alcoholic and the world being about me, I assumed that it was one type of relationship and it turned out a very different type of relationship. The lady was a single parent and here only child recently died of alcohol poisoning. I became one of her two main supports during her time of devestation. It didn't take much of that before I knew that I was to be there for her support and that was the main reason for the relationship. Without a continual seeking knowledge of His will, I would not have had a clue. I guess the point is I was where I was supposed to be whether I liked it or not.

Chuck, Hi, so glad you wrote to me (and that I figured out how to respond). I'm one of those alkies that complicates the heck out of things...lol I could relate so well with wanting to be available for my Higher Power to direct me and yet, have questions about specifics. I am so aware that 12 step fellowships are not the only place that people can find a Higher Power's will, but it seems a lot easier than some of the other methods I have tried before. I'd like to talk more about spirituality with you anytime.

Hey there Jane! I just read what you wrote to me and thank you! It has been a hard road back and very grateful to get back. I am diligent in the program and just share what I have been through. This is an honest program and a feeling program. See today I get to feel whether good or bad. The hand of God has been on me for a long time and there is a purpose and a reason. I am also Christian and the Son has been by my side the whole time. Just never accepted that He truly does care! I am in a place now, where I do my footwork (action) and leave the results to Him (faith). By this, I do know new peace and a serenity never known before. He is great God. He puts people like you and Charlie and countless others in my life. And for that I am truly blessed. You are a beautiful woman Jane! I loved your story and just one more testimony of the power of God.
