Calling All Sober Folk who know something about residential treatment in the USA.
I have been given a 5 week Travelling Fellowship by the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust in London to travel to the USA in September in order to visit residential treatment centres. I have no agenda other than to visit and to take back to the UK my experiences of how the USA does recovery and what is there for the UK to learn? (Lots I suspect!). I am starting in Cape Cod but would love some suggestions about Boston and New York as I head through to Akron. From there I would like to go to Tennessee (any suggestions?)Arkansas, Texas, Phoenix, LA. (Suggestions please) I have 5 weeks and know little about the USA, but I have been told that I should spend as much time in California as possible as this is where so much recovery goes on. This could be a life changing event if I do it right and any help will be gratefully received. Thank you all.

London is a great city and a great city for sobriety. We have a number of members from London, but a lot of them have not posted this to their profiles YET.

Thanks so much for posting a picture and filling out your profile. If you have any ideas how to spread the word about this site I would really appreciate it.
