About me: I was in and out of AA for a long time. When, I had finally been beaten up enough and each time kept getting worse faster I decided I would do whatever it took to get sober and stay stober so I could have my family back. I got a sponsor who met with me every week and worked the 12 steps with me. I have been sober since. It wasn't until I did the steps and continue to work the steps that a miracle happened!!!
I am single mother now who lives with her 11-year-old daughter. My other daughter still lives in Texas with her dad but I am so grateful to have a job, a roof over my head, and God in my life. I love waking up in the morning sober and enjoying life. To be able to live in the moment is awesome !!!

DEAR JOELL... THANK YOU FOR THE HELLO. I HATE READING THESES TERRIBLE STORIES. IT SOUNDS LIKE HIGH SCHOO MENTALITY, BUT I HAVE OFFERED TO HELP OUT FRIENDS, SINCE I HAVE BEEN DOING JUDO SINCE I WAS A KID, VERY STRONG AND HAVE BEEN USED FOR 100'S OF CRISIS INTERVENTIONS, BUT NO LADY FRIEND EVER ACCEPTS MY OFFER TO HELP. PLEASE DON'T TELL ME THEIR EMBARRASSED, WHEN I'M THE ONE OFFERING TO GO OVER AND EQUALIZE A SITUATION AND GET SOMEONE OUT OF DANGER. I'M A PSYCHOLOGIEST AND NURSE WITH SOME UNDESTANDING, I REMEMBER WHEN I WAS 18 YEARS OLD, I WORKED NIGHTS AT A LARGE HOSPITAL IN THE ENERGENCY WARD, AND NO ONE TOUCHED THE FEMALE NURSES WHEN I WAS THERE, WHY IS THIS ALLOWED TO CONTINUED, AND WHY DO PEOPLE KEEP QUIET AND NO ONE HELPS?
