welcome home,dave.i had tested the waters also. longest was 7 yrs.like you said "PRIDE & EGO"-LONGEST WAS 7 YRS. BEFORE THIS LAST ONE,HAVE 5 1/2 NOW.RECOVERY IS A JOURNEY,NOT A DESTINATION!!!

Hi Dave! CONGRATULATIONS on your 1 year!! What an accomplishment and how great is it that you came back. I also had quite a few years sober but living as a dry drunk...never REALLY working the program. My relapse was intense and ended with a dwi....Thankfully no one was hurt. I came back to AA and this time devoted myself to the program & fellowship. I truly love my life now as well as myself, which is new for me. I will celebrate 2 years on 2/24.
