It wasnt until i studied the big book that i discovered that recovery from alcoholism is very possilbe and attainable to me.Happiness is the ultimate goal in my life!The A.A. program was able to let me find true happiness.It can be the same for you if you follow the clear cut directions set out for us in the big book.Remember its not asking for too much to be happy once again!!!!

Hi Vince
Thank you so much for your share... I must admit I had a bad connection and could hear only every 3 or 4th word but I do believe I heard what HP needed me to hear. We say that if you don't get a message out of a meeting, you were not listening... - My message... I dont come to meetings any more to stay sober, I come share the message. Thank you for that. Maybe I'll make it to get up at 2.30 am again some time.

Glad you could hear some of it . It is true that A.A.is not intended to be an alternate life for alcoholics , it is to enable us to function in todays society without the fear of alcohol every day .That is what we mean when we say that we are recovered!Life goes on and we are a part of it !

The 12 steps are something we DO , not only talk about. If you have not done all 12 steps , then get on with it and become a RECOVERED ALCOHOLIC for GODS sakE !!!!!
